The Rogers Explorers program is an intensive three-day, two-night program focused on cultivating skills in leadership, technology, math, science, and community service. There are 180 students selected in the Center of Rural Development area that were selected and this is the first year that MCMS has had more than three students for the program. The activities throughout the program are both educational and fun. Classroom projects are very hands-on, so do not expect to be bored!  Explorers are able to actively participate in practical college courses, fine-tune leadership skills, and develop a network of friends and resources throughout our Southern and Eastern Kentucky region.

Lydia and Gracie will attend Lindsey Wilson College, Alayna will go to Asbury University, and Madison will visit Morehead State University. Congratulations to these young ladies.

State Geography Bee State Geography Bee

Sydney Wade represented MCMS in the state geography bee held in Bowling Green. In order to be invited to the state competition, Syndey first won the school's geography bee then tool a written assessment. He scored high enough on that test and was invited to the state bee. He participated in a preliminary round of 8 questions which were rigorous and tough. Even though he did not advance to the finals, we are very proud of his accomplishment as a state participant.
