September Winners - 2010

HOBY- Tanner Elrod

Tri-County Essay winner –Beth McConnell


Monroe Co FFA Livestock Judging team competed at the Kentucky State Fair and placed 17th out of 60 teams in the state contest and was the Barren River Regional Winner. Team members: Jordan Wheeler, Kaleb Humes, Chrissy Ashworth, and Kelsey Rich. Kelsey was the 3rd High Individual in Beef cattle judging.

Monroe Co FFA Floriculture Judging team competed at the Kentucky State Fair and placed 16th out of 44 teams. Team members : Brittani Welch, Kendall Jones, Kayla Jones, and Caylan Bybee.

John Jackson compete in the Seed ID contest at the State Fair and placed 7th out of 52 contestants.

Ethan King and Jaylan Hammer competed in the Dairy Holders Contest with Jaylan being selected as one of the State Winners.

Monroe County High School's golf team qualified for the Class A state tournament.  Team members are:  Trey Taylor, Troy Tooley, Trey Isenberg, Trevor Humes and Travis Page.  Morgan Taylor also qualified for the girl's team.

Monroe County Middle School’s 6th grade girls kicked off their basketball season with a Sept. 18 tournament in Campbellsville, defeating the entire field and starting their season with a tournament championship!

GES attendance has experienced some highs with 8 out of 13 homerooms with 100% attendance on Sept. 16 and only eight students absent!
