Monroe County ATC Welding Students Compete in Central Kentucky Welding Classic

     Students from Shannon Smith's welding class competed Friday, November 12th  in the Central Kentucky Welding Classic in Harrodsburg, KY. There were 15 schools that competed. 

     The team of Derrick Irvin, Tyler Poland, and Ryan Yokely won first place overall team. Derrick Irvin won first place overall individual, and Tyler Poland won ninth place.These three students won nearly $3,000  worth of prizes including a welder, welding helmets, and a plasma cutter.They also came away with two large trophies.
